Volkmann USA, a leader in process equipment manufacturing based in Bristol, Pennsylvania, U.S., is proud to announce the groundbreaking of a significant expansion at its Soest, Germany, headquarters. This expansion, adding 48,437 square feet to the facility, aims to augment production capacities and expedite delivery times for its range of products including pneumatic vacuum conveying systems, vibrating feeders, and bulk bag unloaders.
Celebrating the Milestone
The expansion’s groundbreaking ceremony saw Volkmann CEO Thilo Volkmann alongside production managers Michael Ernst and Carsten Schrรถer, with architects Pia Rรผller and Arno Biesenbaum, marking the commencement of construction. This new facility is set to house integrated operationsโspanning design engineering to shippingโwhich will streamline production processes and enhance efficiency across the board.
Innovative Features and Facilities
Set to be fully operational by 2025, the new site will also feature a state-of-the-art testing laboratory. This facility will support full-size demonstrations and real-time testing of the companyโs systems under a variety of process conditions, aiding in product formulation and factory acceptance. Additionally, a dedicated training and education center is under construction to host technical seminars and enhance customer and client engagements.
Global and Local Impact
The expanded operations will significantly reduce lead times for North American customers, with conveyor orders expected to be fulfilled in just 8 to 10 weeks. Volkmannโs commitment to innovation and customer service is reflected in both the German headquarters and its Pennsylvania facility, which houses a similar testing laboratory to cater to the North American market.
