Sipcam Agro Solutions, a subsidiary of Sipcam Agro USA, is set to commence construction on a new 12,000 sq. ft. fungicide and insecticide formulation and packaging plant in Waynesboro, Mississippi. This development follows the acquisition of Odom Industries’ assets in December 2023. Brent Marek, CEO and COO of Sipcam Agro USA and CEO of Sipcam Agro Solutions, announced that this investment will enhance production efficiencies and output, leading to the establishment of a new state-of-the-art fungicide facility.
Advanced Automated Plant to Boost Production
The new plant will feature cutting-edge automated systems and brand-new equipment, enabling the production of soluble concentrates (SC) and emulsifiable concentrates (EC) in various packaging sizes. Part of this expansion includes upgrading the existing bulk tank farm to store and distribute bulk products. Marek expressed enthusiasm for the project, highlighting its potential to increase production integration for fungicides and insecticides, offering additional tolling capabilities, and supporting the local community through job creation and business support.
Full Integration and Future Plans
The construction of the new facility is scheduled to be completed with production starting in the fall of 2024. Sipcam Agro Solutions also plans to engage in third-party business discussions by February 2025, preparing for increased production volumes. According to Bryan Grunsky, plant manager, the expanded capabilities will ensure Sipcam Agro’s full integration from synthesis through formulation and packaging, providing custom tolling services to both existing and new customers. This integration aligns with Sipcam Agro USA’s strategy of collaborating with global partners across various active ingredients (AIs).
