Kansas City becomes home to RB SRL’s first U.S. production plant
RB America Corporation, the U.S. arm of Italian manufacturer RB SRL, has announced plans to invest $16 million in a 100,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Kansas City, marking the company’s entry into the North American market. The facility will specialize in producing components for hunting and shooting ammunition, as well as military-grade ammunition containers. This move is expected to create 163 new jobs in the region.
Boosting Kansas City’s Manufacturing Sector with Advanced Technology
The new facility, slated to begin production testing in November and become fully operational by early 2025, will set a new standard for ammunition box production in the U.S., incorporating state-of-the-art technology and multiple production lines. Renato Ballabio, president of RB America Corp., emphasized that the plant is designed to meet growing demand and will reflect more than 30 years of experience in the field.
Kansas City: A Strategic Location for Advanced Manufacturing
Kansas City’s central location and strong industrial base make it an ideal location for RB SRL’s expansion. With a robust workforce and the ability to reach 90% of the U.S. population within two days, the city has become a hotspot for foreign investment and advanced manufacturing. Local officials, including Missouri Governor Mike Parson, lauded the company’s decision to establish its first U.S. facility in the region, highlighting it as a significant win for both the city and the state.
