New plant set to bolster sustainable transportation and create 150 jobs by 2027
HOLON has officially launched construction of its first U.S.-based production facility for autonomous movers in Jacksonville, Florida. Spanning approximately 500,000 square feet, the plant is scheduled for completion by early 2026, marking a significant step in the company’s mission to revolutionize sustainable, emission-free transportation. Developed by VanTrust Real Estate, the facility will serve as a critical hub for HOLON’s innovative solutions in passenger mobility, targeting urban congestion and climate change challenges.
Autonomous Mover Set for Market Readiness by 2026
HOLON’s next-generation autonomous mover is being developed in close coordination with U.S. regulatory authorities to meet Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards and Buy America requirements. The vehicle, with a top speed of 37 mph and a capacity of up to 15 passengers, will be utilized for ride-hailing, ride-pooling, and public transit services. Prototypes of the mover will be available later this year, with pilot projects expected to begin in 2026, showcasing the vehicle’s versatility across sectors such as airports, healthcare facilities, and municipalities.
Partnerships and Local Economic Impact
HOLON’s expansion in Jacksonville is expected to generate up to 150 jobs by 2027, with an annual production capacity of 5,000 autonomous movers. The collaboration with Benteler Mobility and Beep, Inc. will further strengthen HOLON’s market presence, ensuring end-to-end deployment of its AV solutions. Jacksonville’s leadership in autonomous vehicle technology is further supported by initiatives from the Jacksonville Transportation Authority (JTA), which continues to integrate AVs into its transport system. The facility is set to position Jacksonville as a major player in the autonomous vehicle industry, contributing to both local economic growth and the global transportation landscape.
