D-Orbit USA Teams Up with Spectrum AMT for Satellite Manufacturing 

D-Orbit USA, the recently established American arm of the Italian space logistics leader D-Orbit, has chosen Spectrum Advanced Manufacturing Technologies (Spectrum AMT) as its principal manufacturing ally in the United States. This collaboration aims to enhance satellite bus design, manufacturing capabilities, and accelerate business development within the U.S. market. 

Expanding Capabilities: Colorado Facility to Undergo Major Expansion 

As a critical element of this partnership, Spectrum AMT will extend its Colorado Springs operations, adding 7,500 square feet of renovated space. This expansion will feature a new clean room designed to assemble multiple satellite buses, underscoring Spectrum’s commitment to supporting D-Orbit USA’s ambitious growth plans. 

Leadership Insights: Commitment to Quality and Reliability 

Jeff Gilbert, CEO of Spectrum, emphasized the allocation of significant manufacturing resources to meet the demands of this partnership. Mike Cassidy, leader of D-Orbit USA and former CEO of Apollo Fusion, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, highlighting Spectrum’s proven track record in producing high-reliability satellite electronics and assemblies. “High-reliability manufacturing is crucial to our success,” Cassidy noted, expressing confidence in Spectrum’s ability to deliver outstanding results for their demanding aerospace clientele.
